Ameraflex Sealing Products (ASP) is a 59-year-old well-established gasket and supply company located in Deer Park, TX that services a wide range of customers within the industrial, petrochemical and OEM markets. We supply standard and custom gaskets and related items as well as proprietary products including SEALON®. The ideal candidate is an energetic individual, a team player, and can provide services necessary for the efficient operation of Ameraflex: This is an In-Person position with operating hours of M-F, 8AM-5PM. This position will report directly to the Operations Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include, but or not limited to:

Accurate fabrication and assembly of hose assemblies to manufacturer/customer specifications
Validate conformance to set-up, specifications and adjustments of various machines
Utilize equipment and tools required to assemble or repair hoses
Follow all work procedures to satisfy production, quality, and safety needs
Requires accuracy and precision in measurements and assembly
Performs all work in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures.
Proper use of appropriate safety gear
Understanding of sense of urgency as it relates to customer satisfaction
Must be able to work with minimum supervision

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience in hydraulic and industrial hose fabrication
Understanding and knowledge of equipment operation
Ability to come to logical conclusions and determine a repair solution based on qualifications, education and experience of this position is a must
High School diploma, GED and/or Technical school graduate preferred

PREFERRED SKILLS:

General fabrication skills
Welding experience a plus but not required
Exhibit strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Proficient in reading paperwork, measurements and operating hose building equipment
Efficient in basic math and fractions
Ability to use and read a tape measure
Excellent mechanical aptitude
Ability to read and write in English
Good communication skills
Basic Level computer skills
Written communication skills
Ability to read and follow written instructions
Ability to effectively communicate with supervisor and customer indicating cause and repair
Ability to work with little or no supervision

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to continuously lift and/or move-carry up to 10 pounds; up to 20 pounds frequently and 21 – 75 pounds occasionally
Be able to stand for 8 hours
Overtime may be required on occasion as needed
